Description
An important
part of the product development has been the product testing. Before releasing
the product into the market, it is necessary to perform test for its
reliability, life cycle, operational stresses, and conditions. For small
products it is possible and quite easy to do, but for products of bigger in
size and magnitude, and having long product life cycle, this process gets
costly, especially if the revisions are involved. Thus enters the need of Computer
Aided Engineering.
Under CAE, the
product is put through the series of forces and environmental conditions to
simulate, the operational condition. The simulation conditions can be revised,
optimized as per the required study to be performed, and used to obtain a
domain specific result. This process saves time and cost in the long run.
There are
several software or apps providing such services – ANSYS, using the FEA and FEM
principles to perform the simulations. In this course, you will get to learn
about the types of geometry involved in CAE, and the basic understanding of meshing
and how to perform mesh of the system. When it comes to simulation you will be
learning about the static and transient – structural and thermal simulation and
the flow simulation through a pipe.
